TOFC (Trailer On Flat Car) the B&O in the early 60's started running "Trailer Jets" trains between principle cities with revenues in 1961 of $6.6 million to $11.1 million in 1963 to $15 million by 1964 and would continue to climb to surpass coal as the largest source of rail revenue. Our B&O TOFCEE design was used on their truck trailers.
